VERY Buggy RC Mac Softphone

Is it me or is the Mac Softphone very buggy? I have to kill the app on a daily basis to use it because it seems to not dial out when I paste a number into the dial box. I think the bug is with systems that multiple output/inputs (speakers,mics) and RC is getting confused.

Been dealing with Macs being a second class citizen for years with RC and we're thinking about ditching RC for a competitor. Support for the Mac softphone is terrible. When you get that dreaded support call, it's all scripted do-this, do-that and no real engineer on the phone to help comb through console logs, to root out the real problem.

Hi Eric, can you tell us what version of the Softphone/RC Desktop you are running? You may need to do an update. Click the Gear Wheel/Settings button at the bottom of the Softphone then click the "check for updates" button. Let us know what your version is, or if it does, or does not allow you to update.

Release: 7.1.1.13435 (64-bit)

The update says I have the latest release.

Eric, Watch your email. I'm going to send you a link to a newer version that we are in the process of pushing out. Remove the existing one, reinstall the new one, and let us know if you still have problems.

Thanks! Should I just delete the app or use AppCleaner to remove all traces then re-install?

Just a regular reinstall should be fine, but it can't hurt to use AppCleaner.

Also, another option vs rolling back is to Open a Case and send us the log files so we can help troubleshoot the problem.

Alright just downloaded it again. From ringcentral.com - version: 7.3.2. 16178 (64-bit)

The program opens up and is extremely laggy. I can not listen to voicemails or review recent missed calls.

I posted an older version on t his post. Download that one and let me know if you are still having issues. Also, go into Settings > Feedback and tell them the issues you are having and list the specific version so they know to fix it.
