Desktop App: my deskphone is not showing up for RingOut option

For sure I'm doing something wrong. I'm trying to use the RingOut feature from my Desktop App but the only phone to "take" the call is my cell phone... So, how can I use my Desktop Phone instead?

Go under settings in your RC4Windows.  Under CALLING locate CALLING MODE and select radio button RING OUT, and then select your DID for your desktop phone.

Claudio, If you are wanting to dial from the Desktop app, you would just click the "Direct Dial" radio button instead.

Mike, no, I do not want to use the Desktop App as a phone, just to make the call (for example from a list of numbers from a spreadsheet) and use the Desktop Phone to talk. In other words RingOut but using the Desktop Phone.

Are you logging in under the main company number?  Try logging in with the direct line for that user.

According what we talked before is a lot better log in with the direct number instead of the company number, so yes, I'm using the direct number but still the only RingOut option is to my Cell Phone...

I just tested the RingOut with the "Custom Number" I put the direct line number (Desktop Phone) that is the same of the Softphone App, it works, but does not have sense since the number and the physical phone are in the RC System...

Log into the web interface under the DL that you want to use. Then go to Call Handling & Forwarding and add the number, but leave the switch turned off. See image below.  Then when you log back into the Softhpone, you should see it in the dropdown.

@RingCentral Why does the v7 Windows app not let me save custom (my direct) numbers for RingOut, but v6 did. 1/2

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Desktop app: dial on Softphone but talk on Deskphone phone?. If you want make a call from the hardware VoIP phone but want to dial from the Desktop App (because it's just one convenient click)
how can you do that in RC?
We have a number of users who make lots of outbound calls and it's tedious to type numbers from the desktop screen into the hardware phone. There must be a way to make the VoIP dial from the desktop app!
Thanks
