Deskphone: how do I add a desktop phone that I did not purchase from RingCentral?

I added a new user but I can't activate a polycom phone purchased elsewhere.  The set up sends me to a check out cart to buy the phone from ring central

Have to open a case with tech support. Lots of things they need to do for you

1)  Got to User > Phones & Numbers > Add Phone > existing phone 
2)  Then go to Phones & Devices > Ext > Setup and Provision
