red light is blinking but there are no messages

my red message light is flashing, but i have checked my messages repeatedly and there arent any. im getting very annoyed that i cant ever tell if i really have a message or not. yes i have deleted all old messag

When this happens to me (1) I send myself a new message, then call back in and delete it. (2) re-boot phone then repeat #1.  Also, make sure another extension is not notifying your extension when it has new messages.  Hope that helps...

Thanks Danno. So definitely Polycom ?. What about using EHS, seems like only the VVX310 can handle it?

By all means.  But hopefully someone else can comment on the Jabra.  I find it so hard to find the right headset for users.  All I know for sure is there is no Utopian headset option for any given user/phone system and especially



with cell phones.

Claudio - I'm using a VVX-410 with a Sennheiser DW Pro2.  It works out of the box for talking on the wireless headset - but if you want to be able to remotely answer and hangup using the button on the side of the headset, you will still need an adapter cable.   I was mis-led a little bit by the folks at Headsets.com.  When I hooked up the headset, I could answer a call by pushing the headset button on my VVX-410 but if I walked out of my office, I couldn't answer.  Had to order another $60 cable to make it work as I wanted. 

Otherwise - I love the VVX-410s.  Can't compare to the Cisco but the color screen and the 10 presence buttons are great for our company.

Morgan, let us know if you still have problems after trying the steps Danno posted above.  I'm wondering the same thing as Danno. 

make sure another extension is not notifying your extension when it has new messages.
