Polycom Phone with 75 fax messages

When I get to the office I check my polycom phone for messages. It says I have 75 fax messages and 5 voice messages. If I go through them and delete the fax messages then they disappear from my ipad and actually from everywhere. If I save them then they constantly keep growing. Tomorrow I will have 30 new fax messages and 75 saved fax messages. It is a nightmare trying to go through them to get to the voice message I need. Why do I have to be told I have fax messages on this phone as on my iPad it shows when I have a fax. I would like to use the Polycom phone for voice messages as I sure can't see a fax using that phone.
Does this make sense?
Thanks,
Kipp

Hi Kipp,

The best resolution I can think of, is to go into the Notification settings and set it up so that your faxes are sent as an attachement to an email address, Then delete them from the phone. This way they'll be stored in your email client.

My suggestion is the screen print below of the NOTIFICATION programming - if your objective is NOT to be notified on your Polycom phone that you have new fax messages.

When I try to do this I get an ALERT: Please select the type of notification you want to receive by SMS.

Hmmmm, I don't want to receive any notifications by SMS.

Because of this ALERT it will not save my request.

Help. lol

Hi Kipp, are you still having problems with this?  It's forcing you to select SMS or it won't save?

I am still having a problem with this correct. I don't have any SMS boxes checked that I can see but will check the other extension. Yes it will not save unless I select SMS.
Thanks,
Kipp

Kipp, that sounds strange. If you are still having an issue, can you open a case and include screenshots so it can be escalated on our end?

I finally figured it out.
I did not have a SMS box checked but there was a cell phone number in one of them. I just deleted it and then chose my setting and it worked.
Thanks all,
Kipp
