How to install the Ferrite Clamp with the Polycom phones?

Where is the best place and how should I install the "magnet" that it comes with the new Polycom phones? I do not find any instructions on the box... I know should be with the AC adapter but how and where ?

Which phone model?  I found this for the Polycom VVX 300/310 and 400/410, and it appears to be on the network cable close to the PC port jack.

That's a Ferrite clamp (also called other things).  Read this and that should answer your questions.

Danno you are right, since this is a ferrite element to help with the electromagnetic noise... but... with most of the Polycom I always put this ferrite clamp with the AC adapters... Now, according to Mike's picture, should be with the network cable... THIS IS NEW FOR ME... I'm checking the little guide coming with the Polycom box and I can't find that picture. It is a Polycom VVX310

It makes sense to put it on the network cable since purpose of the device is to reduce EMI, which of course is why CAT5E cables are recommended over CAT5.

Is this a brand new phone. I would think that Polycom would send it in the box. If not, I frequently download them from Polycom's website.

So, all the phones, no matter the brand, should have that ferrite clamp attached at the network cable? The Ciscos, purchased from RC does not come with it... Can I get around 40 from RC ? Mike, is a new phone rebranded by RingCentral.

I don't know for sure if our phones are supposed to be packaged with them, but I'll look into it.
