From RC Help:  http://www.ringcentral.com/office/features/desktop-apps/overview.html

Heads Up Display (HUD)
  • Single interface to view up to 100 user extensions with real-time presence, and efficiently manage multiple incoming calls from the desktop.
  • Easily add, delete, and drag-n-drop extensions within the display; the list automatically synchronizes across RingCentral for Desktop and desk phones.
  • Answer multiple calls, quickly transfer calls, add a caller to an existing conference, and pick up calls on behalf of other extensions.
  • Communicate within seconds, sending text messages to anyone in your company.

Hope that helps...

I would like to see something similar inside of that setup screen... do you agree ? And it looks like the Favorites as well.

I generally don't use the Desktop App to take/make calls, although I have it setup on my laptop to show to customers. I have not setup HUD so I can't really say at this time.

I found the HUD feature on the desktop app it is very convenient (it just have some inconsistencies since is trying to be related with the desktop phone sidecar), so should be nice to have the same on the cellphone app.
Other users that are requesting visualization/presence of other extensions will really appreciate it.

I think one challenge would be the screen space on most mobile devices.  You are welcome to submit a new feature request and explain what you have in mind.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Login Status. We are a consumer based business and have various users. On my display I can see what users are on the phone but I have no idea if those users are logged in. Is there a way to do this and if not it would be very beneficial to view what operators are available at any given time.

Are  you just using the display on the desk phone?  If you have downloaded the RC Desktop app you can use the HUD feature discussed above. Be sure to look at the Overview mentioned in the "official reply" above.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add "presence" feature to RingCentral softphone. My company would like to utilize the "presence" feature but it seems that it is currently available only with select desk phones.  As we're moving toward a PC-centric environment, we'd like to see this feature within the RingCentral for Windows softphone.  Thanks for considering this request!

We've recently started using RingCentral and found the HUD to not be very accurate. It has quite a bit of delay, and even more substantially with some users...

Marc - if there is a bit of delay, please have your IT Dept check the ports for RingCentral's configurations. Also check to see if the Desktop App version is up to date.  Then test and let me know.
