Sounds odd.  Can you open a support case and include the time/dates and as much information as you have on the sending and receiving numbers so we can take a look at this?

I get text messages all the time from people who transpose the number with my RC number.  The first one I got, I called the girl, and she indeed typed in my number thinking it was her boyfriend - it was off by one digit.  Her message was very colorful - which is why I was inclined to call.  Now, I just ignore them!!

This is probably the most likely scenario.

i would tend to agree, but it happened 3 times today and all texts were meant for someone else in my company with an RC number ...

and seeing as they were business texts meant for to co-workers i can't just ignore...instead i have to inquire who they were trying to reach so that my co-worker doesn't seem unresponsive and give bad service....

In your case notes, be sure to include the senders number. And if possible have them send you a screenshot showing the time/date and number that the actually send the text to.

What was happening to me a couple of times, in this case receiving an email with the message, because I configured the extension, first I put my own email and then I replaced with the owner of the extension, but when you update the contact info, the notification email is not updated at the same time, it needs to be done manually..

i'm not getting emails as i turned off that feature for Text messages. did that pretty quickly after installing the app since it was driving me crazy and filling up my mailbox! i am the admin for our company, but we have only had the system for a month so i'm still learning...i thought maybe the first person transposed the number or something but my line ends in 35 and they were trying to reach someone ending in 48. and the third time they said they were replying to someone...???weird.

What I would do is (1) send a test text (say that 3 times fast) through your cell phone MMS to that number that ends in 48, and see if they get it.  That will tell you if it is working outside of your RC number and give you some call examples for tech support.  (2) like Claudio said, double check all the programming to make sure all your settings are copacetic.  (3) send a text via RC SMS from that number that ends in 48 to your cell phone and verify the TN is correct.  You didn't say, but are you getting the wrong text messages on your smartphone APP or your RC4W APP?  Also, were your TN's ported in or are they new RC TNs?

Also, make sure the admin setting (screen print below) is set to no.
