turn off Remote Call hold monitoring on custom provisioned vvx 500

Long Story Short, we require a custom provision for our phones.

Everything works fine except for putting calls on hold. Previously, when a call was on hold, you would only know if you looked at your call presence (the white phone icon)

Now however with the custom provision, if a call is placed on hold, it immediately shows up as a prompt on all the other phones (as if an incoming phone call was happening)

Any one know the configuration necessary to turn this off in the xml configuration file?

I have tried:

call.hold.remoteNotification.enabled="0"

But this line gets removed on reboot.

I have 1 phone that is manually provisioned but I'm testing with other phones that use Ring Central's default provisioning ( https://pp.ringcentral.com/pp).

Maybe the cause is mixing the two? According to polycom they think it's a shared line feature that causes this.

I think I've got it figured out. The UC software on the phone that was having the issue was 5.2.2.0501 (I think anyway, i didn't write it down)

What's odd is, I tried to update the software from the web utility but it didn't work. I tried downgrading to a 4xxx version but it wouldn't downgrade. Finally, I REFORMATED the phone and installed the latest UC version and it is working correctly and no longer has the issues I described above.
