UK / US accounts - why is there such separation?

When we signed up to RingCentral, we thought "great a UK / US provider that can support our needs as we grow in both countries".

Now as try to expand our Ringcentral instance to the US, we come up against obstacle after obstacle:
  1. We can't have US only numbers, we have to pay for a UK number and then a virtual number
  2. SSO is available to US customers, but not to UK customers
  3. Calls in the US can't be included in our packages as they are in the UK
  4. We have to request US numbers via email, not via the web interface
All of these issues are starting to make me ask if Ringcentral really is the solution to support an international business?
