I would like to add my one main phone number to online ads and be able to track which ad generated the call. Perhaps phone numbers embedded in websites can contain additional parameters that are passed on to Ringcentral and included in reporting.
Use case: A marketer creates an ad campaign with three versions of the ad. The call to action is a button that says "Call us now at 555-555-1212" . The number is clickable and generates a call through ringcentral. Each version of the ad has a different parameter associated with the same phone number - 555-555-1212Blue, 555-555-1212Red, etc. Would be really cool if these parameters were compatible with Google Analytics tags for example.
User can look at Ringcentral call logs and see which incoming calls have Blue or Red associated with them and can then determine which advertisements are most effective.
I have no idea how ringcentral or even phones in general work so maybe I'm asking for something impossible.
