Deskphone: Voicemail on Hardphone phone plays newest ones first, then the oldest ones.

when I retrieve my voicemails on my desktop phone, I hear the message from the newest one first to the oldest one last. It used to be the other way around which I prefer. Is there a way to adjust this?

Hi Peter,  Just to make sure I'm clear, are you referring to a desk phone (hard phone)?  If so what model, and I'll if there's a way to change it?   Or, are you referring to the RingCentral Desktop (softphone), that installs on your computer?

Hi Mike, I am referring to a desk phone. Linksys phone model #SPA941. This is something that just happened arbitrarily. My memory says it happened in conjunction with a Ring Central update.

I am not sure if it also happened to other people in my company. (they are all in another city) but I will ask.

Thanks,
Barry

OK.. let me know if there are other phones and if they are all Cisco.  Also, it looks like that model is not currently supported. Did you get that from a 3rd party?

I talked to the other office in SF and they said they had the same issue. The phones we use were all given to us by Ring Central when we came onboard. I really think any phones given to us by Ring Central should be supported.

Hi Peter,  I did confirm that there is not a way to change the order of the messages on that phone.  Another option as far as listening to voice mail is to use the Desktop app.  When you go to the messages screen, you can click each message individually and listen to them in any order that you wish.  Technology changes pretty fast so it's not uncommon for our lineup of supported devices to change every year.  If the features of  that particular phone are too limited, then you may wish to speak with your account manager and discuss other models that might be more suitable.
