How do you intercom an ext while you are on a phone call?

how do you intercom a ext while you are on a phone call? trying to transfer to that call to that same ext. to let them know who is on the line for them. on polycom vvx 410

also when you transfer a call to someone ext can they have a different ringtone on a transfer call

I do know that you can't change the ringtone for a transfer, but I'd also be interested in knowing if you can intercom while on the phone. (I think you can).

I just use one of the open lines on my phone and press the soft key. I suppose you could park the call, hang up and have the person pick up the call from the information you say in the page?

hey mike can you have them put that in the desktop phone software where you can have the intercom softkey when are you on the phone.
