question

When I go to open the app, the RingCentral logo splash displays for 5-10 seconds, then the app crashes out to home screen. That's all I get. I tried fully closing and re-closing the app through multitasking and get no different results. It did this both with a previous version under iOS 9.1 and with the current version under iOS 9.1 and 9.2. I believe the older version worked under 9.0. At least, as well as the app usually works anyway.

i have the exact same issue - as do many others that commented on the App Store/Review section. However, I was told by RC support that the Mobile RC app for iPhone will not work on my iOs (ver. 8.3) and I had to upgrade to 9.2. 

Response from RC:
"I got a confirmation from our product specialist that the latest version of the mobile app on iOs is 7.5 & it is only compatible with iOs 9.2, try to update your OS version to 9.2 then install the RingCentral mobile app 7.5.1 version."

There is no option to go back to the prior RC mobile app - which worked perfectly.

So, can someone at RC support figure this out?

This issue has to do with phone numbers that contain non-numerical characters in the number field.  I'm moving this thread to a related post where you'll see the fix.
