Need a product suggestion superior to Yealink W52Ps please

Hello, we are a U.S. based business and are on the second set of Yealink W52P's at each of our locations.  I am content with the Ring Central system and the Polycom desk phone works great.  The cordless phones are essential to our operation however and don't perform up to specs.

The problems are even after a few hours of firmware upgrades and new phones the loose contact with the base very badly in our steel building location no matter where I have moved the base to.  Also even the new phones which RingCentral spent hours with us upgrading the firmware on have only a guess if the AAA batteries are charged or not and the go dead after part of the day even with time on the charger.  We have made this less bad by purchasing some Imedion 950 NiMH's from E-Bay.  They last longer but the phones still don't know their state of charge.

I want to stay with Ring Central not just because I don't want to learn a new system, but because Ring Central has spent soo much time helping us set up and have tried their darndest to help with the problems.  I love the support I get when I call !

Does anyone have another model of cordless phones that work well with their system?

Thanks in advance

We are aware that there have been issues with our Yealink cordless phones.  We have been working dilligently to find a resolution to the problems we've been hearing about.  We are currently rolling out an official firmware update for these devices that has been validated against our system.  We're expecting it to address issues specifically with the handsets disconnecting from the base, and disconnecting calls.

We expect this rollout to be completed within the next 7 to 10 days.  When your devices are notified of the update, they will download firmware for both the base unit and handsets, and reboot to apply the updates.

We hope this resolves the issues you've been experiencing.

Hopefully it will fix them.  You all have definitely spent some time with it.  Thank you for that.  Yealink owes Ring Central for that!

Curious, why Yealink phones?  What is worse about their competitors?

Hello Tubbs,   Just following up to see if you've had any improvment?  I've heard feedback from others that it made a big difference by relocating the base, so If you haven't tried that, you may want to give it a try.

As far as "why Yealink phones..... the phone models are chosen by our Product Team so we are not really in a position to comment on "what is worse with competitors".  We do try to provide phones that are a good balance between price, quality and features.

You may want to visit the following thread and ask other community members if they have feedback on other models:   Help with Unsupported or 3rd party equipment.
