* Service Issue: Desktop App Down "Only Calling Available" *

We're seeing a message in our desktop application that states "Only Calling Available", but functionality seems fine. However, on mobile, the app stops loading at the logo. This has been noted on several user's devices. We cannot login to the admin interface at this time. Is anyone having similar issues? Or has anyone seen these symptoms before?

If the issue is still ongoing why does your service status page show everything as green?

Same to you, you haven't been through the hell our company has. So unless you know the facts... Don't Talk. We weren't able to text our clients for 2 weeks and this issue has happened twice and cost our company thousands...

this is not my first time experience with this.  they will tell you over & over again there is nothing wrong, if you waste your time calling & i am looking at the status of my account right now, with green or red light & it says everything on my end is working.  well they may have cleared/deleted the message coming to users that 'only calling available' on their soft phones, etc... but all of my status, individual says everything is working on my account, but funny thing is i am not receiving calls.  Why must they lie to people.  i have more consideration & respect for someone when they tell me, yes there is a problem, and it is not on your end, and we are working on it... as soon as you call them or send them an post.

On my Windows 8.1 desktop RingCentral app I still have "Only calling available" message. As of 4:50PM Eastern. I have closed and restarted the app a couple of times with no change, but have not rebooted Windows. Wonder if that might help?

USA 3: RingCentral is still investigating a network issue that is intermittently affecting Softphone, mobile, and web service.

Yes, we were just made aware of the issue and our engineers are currently working on resolving this issue immediately.

Thanks! I did not see anything on your Twitter and the official status page is down, so I was not sure where to turn for updates. Are there any other places to check for a status when something like this happens?

They should send out status e-mails when there are major issues like this IMO.

The Service Status ( http://success.ringcentral.com/) shows "No Known Issues" so this doesn't seem very reliable. They have not updated Twitter either to inform us.

Jan - Two issues: 
1) It took at least an hour for that to show up on the site;
2) There was no proactive notice to administrators via email or other transport.

No expectation that RingCentral = ATT (e.g. 99.9999 uptime = 52.56 minutes/per year). That said, however, transparency on problems, escalation process and fault tolerance architecture all seem to be less than the marketing side of the RingCentral house would represent it. Way less.

More than just RingCentral is down currently. So I don't think that is helping.

I just love that they picked 3:00 p.m. EST to do an "update" that crashed the system.  In other words, we don't care if it inconveniences your business, we'll do it when we want to.

Currently phone hold times are long, it is not necessary to call in to report this as we are aware of this issue and are working on resolving it.

Joseph - Currently phone hold times are long, it is  not  necessary to call in to report this as we are aware of this issue and are working on resolving it.
