Mobile App: only vibrates once while on silent (enable buzz)
I have an iPhone 5 using the mobile app, with AT&T carrier, and no desktop type phone, just the mobile. I usually have my iPhone on silent with the buzz on. When a RingCentral call comes in, it just gives one little buzz and that's it. I need it to ring/buzz like my AT&T calls such that it rings multiple times, else I miss the call. I've been told by support that it is behaving like any application that gives a notification. It should behave like a phone call, which is what other providers do. This is a bit of a showstopper for me, as it means I miss most of my calls.
Please note: this is not a question of adding more seconds of ring time. I have it set at 25 seconds, and if the app is open and active, it works fine. It's when the phone is not being used (like in my pocket), and a call comes in, and it just gives one little buzz, instead of multiple.
I don't disagree this is a good feature request, but one idea in the meantime might be to set your cell phone number as a forwarding destination after trying the mobile app. That way you would still take calls on mobile app when you hear them (or feel them), but in case you miss it it will then start ringing/vibrating your cell as a regular call. The person calling you shouldn't notice any difference.
