Shared line setup getting more than one line per phone

We have a US based small company with 5 digital lines (phone numbers not usually given out), 12 employees and one main toll free number that is given out. Our entire operation is "cloud based", from our quick books, PM software and of course our phones! The biggest benefit of being cloud based is the ability to work anywhere.
The scenario that I am trying to accomplish is simple;
I would like my personal office phone (at my physical desk and my primary office location) to be mirrored or "Shared Line" with my satellite office desk at my home office.
I understand that Polycom is the only option for a "Shared Line" so i switched out both phones from Cisco. The system works great under the "Shared Line" with one massive exception, there is only one line available on the phone!
The fact that i cannot have "call waiting" or place someone on hold to help the office pick up the other main line ringing is crazy, but even worse is that if i am on the phone any direct incoming calls go directly to my VM.
The simple solution to this problem would be the ability to have two or multiple shared line extensions on the shared phone. "Shared Line 1" and add a "Shared Line 2". i have other digital lines available that i could share with, but the programming team notified me that there is no way unless a feature release to add a second shared line to the phones.
Please Help! i apologize in advance for the poor/ improper verbiage describing the problem, but i need to be able to receive a call when I'm on the phone!
Thank you so much for considering this feature, and if there is another option or workaround please let me know in the meantime.

This can be done but its not classified as shared line. I believe what they did no my phone was "Call Pickup" ability from other "users" and now it works.

I am not sure if you are using the wrong terminology or actually using the shared line feature, but I think what you want is presence and then the users to be configured to allow you to answer their calls.  Take a look at this:  https://support.ringcentral.com/s/article/Presence-Overview?language=en_US

There may be other options too.  Can you describe your call flow a bit?  Do most of your calls come into the main number or direct lines?  Do they go through auto attendant or get answered live?

Thoughts...   The shared lines has its limits as you have found out.  You could assign 2 different phones to your number and have the full functionality like presence and line 2 ETC.

Just adjusting the call flow a bit and getting that phone configured properly

A full review of the call flow would help so that suggested changes are not just a shot in the dark.

Hi Chuck,

Just wondering how you can do this: "You could assign 2 different phones to your number and have the full functionality like presence and line 2..."

Can you please provide the steps to do this on both phones without messing up the Shared Line setup.

Thanks,
Edmund
