Deskphone: Are Cisco 79xx series supported with RingCentral?

I know CISCO SPA models work fine with RC but I was wondering if there was a way to program non SPA devices on RC.  I have a fleet of over 100 79xx series and would love to be able to use them on my RC account.

Hello Philippe, unfortunately, the Cisco 79xx series of phones are no longer supported and will not work with the RingCentral platform.

Are the phones already converted from skinny to SIP?  It *may* be possible if you really want to try.  I found this:  http://www.packethead.net/2013/06/19/how-to-cisco-7900-series-phone-w-ringcentral-com/ and a few others with a Google search.  I would tend to think the time you spend getting them to work would cost more then getting new phones though.  Let us know if you try and the results.  Good luck.

Hi Philippe, These phones are not supported anymore. Yes, there have been customers that have tried to get these to work but have run into many issues. You are certainly welcome to try but as one of the Solution Engineers here at RingCentral, I have to inform you that these phones have not worked with our platform for quite some time. I would be interested in hearing how it goes with what Brandon suggested. Good luck Sir!
