Call Handing: long delay before voicemail picks up

My phone rings 4 or 5 times and then there is a long (20 second) pause before the VM message picks up.  Any ideas on how to shorten that delay?

I have a Polycom phone...we just started with Ring Central last month.

Couple of things to check under Call Handling rules: 
  1. Do you use the Desktop App/Mobile App, or just a hard phone? - if you don't use the Desktop App make sure it's turned to OFF or set to 0 under your Call Handling rules > Desktop & Smartphone.
  2. You can also decrease the rings on your desktphone to send it to voicemail faster.
