Plantronics CS540 Headset

I want to incorporate a headset to be used with my Polycom IP 335 HD phone. I see that Plantronics headsets are compatible with the phone and system. I don't see the Plantronics CS540 listed. Does this mean it's not compatible through the software? But what about the phone itself? Would a handset lifter work?

I tried contacting support, but they were as useful as the online help.
