Facebook business page verification step - no call

Hello - we have a U.S.-issued 855 number purchased through RingCentral. While it works for some website verification steps, I cannot find the key to getting Facebook to call with a code in order to verify our business page. I've used both the raw 855 number (which rings to my extension), and my specific extension. Both fail to initiate a call. Does anyone have any experience with this, and is there a workaround other than sending Facebook my biz documents?

Kim, thank you so much for following-up. I've now heard from 3 other folks who exactly mirror Jan's experience below. I think I'll send them a biz document.

For what it's worth, I have a Facebook business page but I had never verified my phone number. I just tried it and also didn't get a phone call back. I then remembered that toll-free numbers usually don't show a business name, only "Toll-Free Number".

So I then tried by changing my phone number on my FB page to my DL (digital line), which is a local number and has my Caller ID registered to the number, and then used that number for the verification. It called me and I entered the 4-digit code and a response page came up advising me that they could not verify that the phone number was associated with my business. Note however that I *DO* have the Caller ID for my DL showing my business name.

I tried this twice and got the same result each time. I don't know how they verify the number however since my business name and the Caller ID name for my DL are both the same, I question how they are attempting to do this.

I wouldn't waste your time trying with a toll-free number as that won't show your business name as associated with your business. especially since they state, " Enter a publicly listed phone number for your business , your country and language". A toll-free number won't be publicly listed for your business except possibly in a phone book or somewhere like that. But they don't use that when they call you with a 4-digit code.

If anything, I would send them business documentation since that might be quicker and less stressful than trying it on-line. That definitely does not seem to work!

Jan, thank you very much for providing such a thorough follow-up. I heard from a few other folks who encountered the exact same issue, and all mentioned the same details. I'll send a copy of one of our biz docs and process our verification without using a phone.
