I have a single user premium account. For voice, that gives me two numbers, those being a main company number and my individual direct number. It also gives me a fax number, but my questions aren't about the fax number.
The only phone I am using for those two voice numbers is softphone on my computer. I am also using the mobile app on my cell phone, but my questions aren't about use of the mobile app.
I am not sure how softphone actually works with those two voice numbers, how I can use those two numbers with softphone.
With the two numbers, main and direct, am I going to be able to use softphone like a regular two line telephone?
Like, if someone calls me on the main number, and it rings my softphone on my computer, and I answer that call and am talking with that person, and then a different person calls me on my direct number, what will happen? Will softphone ring with the call to my direct number? Will I be able to put the first caller (on the main number) on hold while I answer the second caller (on the direct number)?
It's confusing, and I don't have anyone else here to help me test it by calling my numbers with cell phones and other phones.
Update: Actually, I tried it with my cell phone, call the main number with my cell phone, answer that call on softphone, put that call on hold on softphone, then on my cell phone "add" a call to my direct number, and softphone rang again. Answer that second call on softphone while first call on hold on softphone. Maybe could then go back and forth or join the calls together.
I'm wondering how many incoming and outgoing calls I can receive and make simultaneously on softphone and juggle them around on hold or whatever.
