Desktop app: dial on Softphone but talk on Deskphone phone?

If you want make a call from the hardware VoIP phone but want to dial from the Desktop App (because it's just one convenient click)
how can you do that in RC?
We have a number of users who make lots of outbound calls and it's tedious to type numbers from the desktop screen into the hardware phone. There must be a way to make the VoIP dial from the desktop app!
Thanks

It's not possible to do this. Would it make sense to just dial from the Softphone? You can quickly dial numbers by highlighting the number on the screen, and pressing "F9".

Thanks @Mike and @Howyallare

it's exactly as Howyallare stated: The users make outbound calls and they prefer the VoIP handset for that. But the numbers are on the computer and while the RC Desktop app can dial the number, there is no way to use the handset when dialing from the desktop.
[...] call via modem on a regular landline, rather than use the keypad on the telephone to do the dialing, then actually continue the call on the telephone with its handset
yes, that is exactly the functionality we want, just not with a modem but using RC Desktop to dial

They can set the soft phone app into RING OUT MODE and it will do it.

I understand.. and correct. there's not a way to do this.  Another option (but unfortunately requires more investment) is to use a headset that allows you to toggle back and forth from the Deskphon to the PC.   Check out the Plantronics Savi series.  http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/savi-700#fndtn-models
