Fax: What happened to my attachments?

I used to be able to view my attachments, ones I received and those I have sent. Now my Call Log is different and I can't find my PDFs anywhere! The first screenshot is what I used to have and the 2nd one is what I have now.

Patricia,

Those are two different views. The top one is the Overview view, which will contain your faxes, pdf's etc.. The bottom view is the Call Log view, which does not contain those. If you are logged in and viewing " My Extension" (whether or not you are logged in as an administrator....don't know if you are one), you will still have the Overview view as the first tab on the page.

Attached are copies of my Overview and Call Log tab views. This is the most current version of RingCentral. Note that everything you are looking for is in the Overview tab.

By the way, the first screen shot you show (pulled from YouTube) is a much older version. If you've been a RingCentral customer for any amount of time, you have not had that screen for a long while now. The top view shows an "Activity Log". It has been called the "Call Log": for quite a while now.

Thanks for helping out Jan!

Patricia Mitchell,   If that screenshot was taken from a video in RingCentral's YouTube page, can you provide the URL to me so that I can look into this?

I think this is the one: https://youtu.be/3YU_hxhuluA
I used to have this set up when I wasn't using my soft phone on my laptop. Sorry, I'm old school - don't adjust quick. :(

Patricia,

That is showing recent messages. Which type of PDF's are you looking for...recent or older? You can also look under the Messages tab, which will show received, sent and deleted items.

Note: RingCentral only saves items on their server for either 90 or 120 days (I believe it is 120 days). If you haven't saved an item before then it might be gone.

Oh, I used to be able to view and save my attachments when I had the soft phone on my desktop. Now I can't find them to even see if they were sent. Someone recently received a fax from me with no attachment and I didn't know it till they told me!

Patricia - you can see them in the Desktop App by selecting the envelope icon > Fax.

I found it! But why do you have to make everything so hard to find? That should be sticking right out there... with stars and bells or something! grrrrrr....

It's not all your fault. I just installed a hard drive in my laptop and so I've had to go and get everything again.
