User/device not showing up in ring group selection

We removed a user from the ring group however we are needing to add the same user back into the groups but that user/devise isnt showing up in the list.

Was this user's extension ever deleted as well?

no, we changed the name on but the extension remained.

I may not be fully understanding the issue but if the user name was changed on the extension and now you are looking for that user, you won't find him/her. If you need to add that particular user back into the group he/she will need an extension to be in the list of available queue members.

I had that happen before when users were set as unavailable.  Make sure they are not on DND and log them in on the softphone (if you use it).

Was this user using only a softphone? Also is this a ring group on an ext or a call queue? At the moment there is not a way to add a softphone under the call handling and forwarding on an ext with the forward to other users phone.
