Buying supported handset from 3rd party retailer?

We're considering buying a speakerphone, and it looks like the 2 supported by Ringcentral (Polycom IP 5000 and 6000) cost about twice as much for the exact same model direct from Ringcentral as if we bought them on Amazon.  Are there any downsides to our buying it on Amazon and programming it for use on Ringcentral?
