Yealink W52H how to stop red envelope light flashing

The envelope shaped button just above the call hang up red button on the right of the handset is flashing. What is this for?  Pressing this button highlighted text says "Missed Calls (1). If you pick select then you see the missed calls. Is there a way to hear these or know more information about them?

Notification light is used to indicate voice mails and missed calls. When the handset receives a voice mail or misses a call, the message key LED flashes red. You can configure the notification light to indicate the voice mails or missed calls respectively.

Call history contains call information such as calling/called party identification, time and date, and call duration. The handset maintains call history lists of All Calls, Outgoing Calls, Missed Calls and Accepted Calls. Each call history list can store a list of entries sorted by date and time of the call, starting with the latest call entry. You can check the detailed information of an entry in the call history. You can also dial a call, add an entry to the blacklist or delete entries from the call history.

That's good.  Then maybe they are system messages from RingCentral.  In the same screen does it show any messages?

Cool beans.  If you don't know the password, then reset via the USER DETAILS screen and then you can get into the messages through the admin portal and remove.  I would recommend that you first mark as read the message then delete them.  Hopefully that should remove the red light.

It worked, thank you so much, that was more than the phone support was able to do.

If the above shows "View Messages" then click on it and clear those messages.

The problem is we have a bunch of user extensions with out phones that we do not log on individually, once I hit view messages on that user it asks me to enter an user extension password that was never initiated and does not exists.

We are a 24/7 answering service and do not have voice mail set up at all because we always have live operators. I have two phones with flash red light that is very annoying. I have even called tech support to have them walk me through the process to no avail. I am very close to using a hammer on the red light.

No I have them connect directly to group so that we never miss a call and they roll over to our main line
