Improve Mettings Security Please

When we use RingCentral Meetings for audio only meetings and set a password no one gets challenged for the password because they are dialing in from a regular phone. Worse, if we try to secure the meeting by checking the box that the host must be there first, the host cannot identify himself as the host over a dial-up phone so the meeting cannot be started.

What we need is for one or the other or both of these security features to be implemented when calling in via regular audio phones without access to the app.

Thanks!

HI arlantz,

I'm not sure if you saw this because it's a very recent announcement, but there was a very recent updated to RingCentral Meetings.

Important Update to RingCentral Meetings

Starting and Joining a Meeting with RingCentral Meetings for Desktop

UPDATE:  RingCentral Meetings replaced the legacy dial-in numbers with  (773) 231-9226    for RingCentral US customers, and  +44 (203) 875-4507  for RingCentral UK customers. After the migration, the  Meeting ID will be automatically validated (no need to press "1"). An error prompt appears if the meeting ID is incorrect. Meeting security will be enhanced by making sure the phone participants cannot enter the meeting before the host when  Enable join before host (Meetings Desktop app) or  Allow Join before host (Meetings Mobile app) is disabled.

Just curious, If you are having an "audio only" meeting, why are you using RingCentral Meetings vs. RingCentral Conferencing?  The conferencing feature would be more suitable for this.
