Ring Central for desktop down once again

Desktop is down once again, I was called by my employees at 2:30 am, I called RC to get an update and spoke to a gentleman named Alan that stated there were no known issues. I explained to him on the RC website I clicked on the service status site and it reflected an issue, he than explained to me that he has never heard of this site. We seem to be back up for the time being but this is an ongoing issue and now I have to sit here and monitor my business at 3am.

How has a RC Tech Support/Customer Service Rep never heard of the service status site?

I couldn't believe it myself, it was 2:30 and I was so frustrated to have my employees had to call me with this ongoing issue and to have the support guy named Alan continue to tell me he has never heard of the service status site. This really shouldn't have surprised me though, I have two phones with the red message light flashing that they can not help me get turned off short off a hammer. We are a 24/7 telephone answering service and nobody ever goes to voicemail so we should never have a message.

This sounds like you may not have reached an actual Ring Central support number.   To resolve the red light flashing, you do need to login to the two numbers with the flashing red message lights,  via the Web Portal and clear the messages that landed there.   This happens to us once in a while on our common area phones that are setup to hangup and not accept messages to voicemail.  I can understand it is disconcerting to be awakened in the middle of the night, but your best option is to contact your Customer Service rep at RingCentral if you truly want to get find out what occurred.  Clearly whomever you spoke to when you called in, did not handle your case very well.
