Fax receipt error notification

I would like to receive notification of a fax receipt error. When I go into settings then notifications I do not see any options to receive notifications other than for received faxes. Do I need an update or something?

In most cases there's not a problem receiving faxes from another digital fax solution. However this one might be tricky to figure out.  You stated "they are "using a digital fax solution in their environment to send faxes from a large number of MFDs. "   
Can you provide  more details?  It sounds like there are multiple sending devices. Do you know how many and what exactly they are?  Do some come through, and others fail? Do some devices work and others not?

As long as you have the Fax Transmission Results set up like below, you will get an email like this (2nd image).
