Default voicemail greeting doesn't say my name

In Settings the text of the default voicemail shows my name correctly in the greeting but when it plays it doesn't pronounce it. "You have reached the voicemail for ....."

It won't update immediately - takes a couple of minutes.  Re-test in 10 minutes by calling the VM directly and not listening via portal or APP.

Danno - thanks for the reply. It has been 24-hours since my account was set up and still no joy.

Danno - thanks again for the reply. Sorry, I'm a new user with an account set up by our admin. So, if you could explain the acronyms in your replies that would be very helpful. I understand Text to Speech TTS but not where the entry field is. My name does show already in the text of the default VM greeting so I'm assuming it was entered somewhere during the account set up - if that's what you are referring to.

Not sure about meaning of DID. It seems I do not receive an option to enter an extension number when calling our main number (may be the way our admin set up the account) to listen to my greeting. We are currently unattended at the office at receiving our main office voicemail message. Is there a way force the system to request an extension number as it is playing our main voicemail message?

Hi, yes, I have portal access to my extension. Also, my private access number is the same as our main number.

DID = Direct Inward DID or the private 10 digit number for your extension.

I was talking about 10 minutes after you enter the name in the TTS field.  Then call into your DID and listen to it.  I'm assuming that you do not have a custom greeting - you are using default - right?  Another way to verify if the .wav file loaded to to check it via the spell-by-name directory.

Alright, question one: do you have access to your account via the portal?  Not the admin level but your individual extension?

Then you can either select either Custom or RingCentral text-to-speech name radio button, then either type your name (for TTS) and follow the instruction to record your name.
