'Speaker' icon missing on Android mobile app!

I do not have 'speaker' icon on my Android mobile (tab) app?! Is this feature not available for any mobile device or just for tab? Does anybody has any experience? Thank you.

Himalayan Travels,

I have never not had a speaker icon when connected to either an incoming or outgoing call. In fact I just took a screen shot (below) of a call moments ago and you can see that I have circled the active speaker icon. I have been a RingCentral customer for many years and I can't recall which first version of the mobile app I had but it was probably a version 6. I am currently at v8.4.2.

The same with Android OS...I believe that all RingCentral apps will work with v4.5 or better of the Android OS. I am currently running v6 (Marshmallow) and it works as well as it always has.

Are you stating that it is not even there or it is disabled when you are connected to an "Active" call (either incoming or outgoing)?

Thank you Cecile & Jan,

I am using Android OS v5.0.2 (Lollipop) on Samsung Galaxy tab4. Just recently switched to Tab from RingCentral desktop app and noticed there is no 'speaker' icon (on both incoming and outgoing calls). Really like to have this feature as it comes handy when on hold for long time.

See below a screen capture:

I believe that is because you are accessing the RingCentral mobile app on a tablet, not a phone. That's why you also can't switch to a carrier.

That's what I thought...Looks like I am out of luck then unless RingCentral does something about it (hope they are listening!). Thanks a lot for your input.

You're welcome. If it appears you might be on for an extended period, you might just want to use the mobile app on your cell phone instead. I know...obvious huh? I can also use the mobile app on my ASUS tablet when at a client's location where I could get WiFi, but it became too cumbersome and I gave up on doing it that way several years ago versus using my phone.

Hmmm...that's what I have been trying to avoid. Will have to think it over...
