That looks legit, but if can't tell for sure without seeing the actual message. If you can forward it as an attachment to community.support@ringcentral.com, we'll take a look.

I have had this problem as well. I was not at all satisfied with the way it was handled a couple of months ago and now I have received another similar email today.  The response I received from RingCentral support is the same as above, "If you can forward it as an attachment ..." which of course forwarding an email as an attachment cannot be done.  However, I suspect the request is to send the alleged "fax" message itself which is unreasonable as that would require clicking on the embedded link which I no doubt will not reveal a fax message, but will result in a virus or malware attaching to my computer.  A better solution would be to forward the email to tech support/security or fraud department at RingCentral where a solution to the problem could be created.

Dan,  It's pretty easy to tell if an fax notification email is spam (and likely malicious) just by looking at the senders info.  For example, this was just reported to us today and it's obvious spam.

Notice in the image below, the sender is using a Mindspring email address. All emails from RingCentral will come from a Ringcentral email domain, not Mindspring.   Second, the other indicator that this email is stating the user needs to have MS Word installed.  RingCentral fax notifications do not require you have MS word as they are send via PDF.   Malicious senders often try to get you to open Word docs because they can include macros that perform malicous actions.  PDFs do not.
