A client of mine uses the mobile app on a bunch of their lines with Ring Central, they have complained that it doesn't work well though. I have made sure that the QOS settings have been set up for the ports that have been recommended, and they have a 30 Mb down 20 Mb up link (of which I am investigating to confirm it's consistency). It is a point to point wireless internet connection so that could easily be a source of trouble. I have also added wifi another access point to their building to use specifically for their phones which is talking on a different enough frequency that it shouldn't interfere.
My big question here is, is there a recommended user limit on how many mobile app lines can be running on one wireless network at a time? From what I understand, if the app is using SIP protocols then the limit would realistically be 1 user at a time because SIP blindly sends packets which can be a problem on Wifi. If the app is using some kind of packet handling, then this might not be a problem. I just don't know the details though.
Any advice?
