question

My client uses Ring Central and lots of mobile app users, they have bad call experiences.

A client of mine uses the mobile app on a bunch of their lines with Ring Central, they have complained that it doesn't work well though. I have made sure that the QOS settings have been set up for the ports that have been recommended, and they have a 30 Mb down 20 Mb up link (of which I am investigating to confirm it's consistency). It is a point to point wireless internet connection so that could easily be a source of trouble. I have also added wifi another access point to their building to use specifically for their phones which is talking on a different enough frequency that it shouldn't interfere.

My big question here is, is there a recommended user limit on how many mobile app lines can be running on one wireless network at a time? From what I understand, if the app is using SIP protocols then the limit would realistically be 1 user at a time because SIP blindly sends packets which can be a problem on Wifi. If the app is using some kind of packet handling, then this might not be a problem. I just don't know the details though.

Any advice?

A good place to start is some basic network quality tests from the mobile devices having he issue.

Are any of the users by any change using iPhones?   If so it would be a good idea to run a PingPlotter from the device:  PIngPlotter for iOS

Mke sure the data is turned off so that you are sure to be checking the wifi network. Feel free to post the results screenshot here.
