Automatic Printing of Faxes with Computer Shutdown

We are looking at porting our main fax number over to RC and we will definitely be wanting to use the Automatic Print function for all faxes coming to our main extension. However, we do shut our computers down over the weekends. When we start them back up on Monday morning would all of the faxes we received over the weekend print at once after we're logged into our desktop app?

If you want them all to end up on paper you might be better off using an ATA and fax machine.  You can still port your number to RC and just assign it to the ATA.

Another idea might be to use the archive to Dropbox feature and write a script to monitor the Dropbox folder and print new faxes from there.  This would require at least one server/workstation to be running.

Otherwise, yes just leave your computer on if you want auto print from the app.  I can't imagine how it could work if your computer was turned off.

Ok. Thank you! We just want to make sure that we don't miss any faxes due to them not getting printed while we are not here. And I know that we can access them through the desktop app but we are just trying to figure out the best way to approach this!

Also... unless the account is HIPAA enabled, you can set up your fax notification to include a pdf of the fax, so they show up in your email.  You could always open and print from there if you need a paper copy.
