RC meetings not associating with Outlook link

When I create a RingCentral meeting in outlook, it generates an email where I can invite antendees which works well.  The problem i'm having is that when I click on the hyperlink on my calendar,  it sends me to the RingCentral website and wants me to download and install RC meetings when I already have it installed.  I uninstalled both RC for windows and RC meetings and installed the latest version available for both, rebooted my computer and i still get the same problem.  I also have the Rc plugin for Outlook.  I am running win7 x64 and Office 2016.  All windows updates are also installed.  I even checked default programs and also associate extensions with programs.  Any help would be appreciated.   Thanks.

IE version 11.  I'll try another browser and see what gives and come back with results.  Thanks Mike.

Hello Anthony,

Did trying a new browser resolve the issue?

It sounds like the link is working correctly. It's normal for the link in the calendar/outlook even to pop open a browser window. At that point it should recognize if you already have the RC Meetings app installed, and launch it in a new window and prompt you to log into the app. This sounds like it might be a browser, or some sort of security setting.  What browser and version are you using?  Have you tried switching the default from Chrome to Firefox or vice versa?
