Phone goes offline when PC goes into hiberation

I have about two of three phones in my office that go offline whenever the PC goes into hibernation. The network LAN cable is connected into the phone and then the PC connects to the phone.

My only theory is that when the PC turns off there's not enough data transmitting through the connection for the network switch to keep the connection active. However, I did switch off the power saving mode on our switch and it's not happening with all machines. We're using Polycom VVX410 phones and Cisco SLM2048T 50-port switch with a ASUS RT-AC87U router.

I would understand if this was happening on all machines but it's only happening on a handful of machines.

not sure what the issue is, but your phone should be connected ahead of your computer, so im not sure why the comp going to sleep should stop anything. The phone would act as the pass through of data for your computer.
Data from wall into the phone, then another cable from phone out to computer.

maybe a tech from RC has inside information on this.

It doesn't make much sense that a computer going into hibernation would cause this, but I am familiar with those Cisco small business switches and they can be pretty wonky.  I wouldn't be surprised if the switch somehow is to blame.  I would suggest making sure it is running current firmware and disabling features like green ethernet and auto smart ports and macros if you can.
