Sales calls and emails from RingCentral

Has anyone else been contacted by a "New Account Manager" claiming to be from RingCentral?
Today I received an email and a phone call. A reverse lookup of the call-back number left, 877.370.8000, comes up as Wrought Iron Co.
The person emailed me and called my personal cell. The email appears to have originated from ringcentral. I'm not sure what's going on here but I don't like it.

The text of the email:

Mark here from RingCentral. I am your new Account Manager. I look forward to assisting you and your business team in a variety of ways, including facilitating issues to the correct departments, and providing business solutions to meet your companys plans and goals.

That is not a very professional looking post..  I am guessing RC sales reps must get some compensation for getting others into the referral program, but that post reflects poorly for RC, in my opinion.

This was a first for me. I've never had any other issues with RC. Now AT&T, those bastards even sold the addresses of my work @ home employees. A google search showed I had 20 locations and employees had people showing up at their door. Took forever to get that fixed.

I've just accepted the fact that RC farms our accounts. You just have to communicate to your customers so they know.

It almost seemed like this "Mark" was trying to "hire" other sales people. I first thought it might be a hoax when I found the link that Danno did as well. When it said, "I AM EARNING AN AVERAGE OF 30k-40k PER MONTH AFTER TAXES AND FEES FOR MY AVERAGE PERFORMANCE. NO B******* HERE." I was disturbed and wondered how he was doing this. Hopefully when Mike looks into this this type of thing won't occur again.

I just found the same information on the web. Additionally the same number with different extensions for a "Jayson" from RingCentral on some other person's personal blog.

Thanks for your posts everyone.  I'll look into this.  I'm sure our Sales & Marketing team does not support any rogue sales tactics.
