Auto-login for Ringcentral for Windows to allow unattended fax operation

We have configured Ringcentral for Windows to PRINT incoming faxes to a network printer upon receipt. However, this requires that the Ringcentral for Windows app to not only be launched, but also logged in. Otherwise, incoming fax is only handled as an email. I would like to be able to reboot the server where Ringcentral for Windows is installed, and have the application launch and login automatically (as a service?) so someone doesn't have to remember to do so after the system reboots. Seems like it shouldn't be so hard to do....

If you go to the Settings screen, just set this switch to the "on" position.

Hi Official Rep Mike! Thanks for your response. I had already set that switch to ON and it didn't seem to work. I tried it again tonight - verified the switch was on, and restarted the machine. No faxes received were printed after the reboot printed UNTIL I manually signed in to Ringcentral for Windows App - once I logged in, the received faxes DID print automatically!

Also, for clarification, faxes received DID go to the users email that is set up for receiving the faxes WITHOUT having to log in to Ringcentral for Windows app...

Is there a way to have the app Auto-LOGIN at system boot/startup??? This appears to be the missing link. I don't want to have to depend on someone manually logging in to the app after every scheduled or unscheduled reboot!!

Thanks again for further assistance. If we can't get this to work, we would likely have to find a different solution than Ringcentral. And we have more lines we want to add if we can get this to work!

I've also been looking for an auto-login feature for the app. It would be better if this gets implemented as it saves time and effort of manually inputting the login credentials every time.

If you have the above switch turned on, and the login screen set to remember your password, it should launch when you restart the pc. If this isn't happening, then please open a support case.

Thanks again Mike for your response re: Save Password... it kind of worked. But still requires me to login to windows first (and then Ringcentral for Windows launches as hoped), but I can't set up my system to autologin to Windows first - that would create a security problem for me. So, sounds like I need to open a support case... can someone tell me how to do that? I couldn't find on website a way to open a support case. Thanks and still remaining hopeful...

Hi Mike,

On the home page of this Community, you'll see a button to "Open Case" on the right side of the page. However I don't think we can help you on the issue of launching the RC app automatically if/when the machine requires a login when rebooting.
