I get a lot of missed calls

I have RC setup to first ring the iPhone app with zero seconds before forwarding (as instructed by RingCentral implementation person) and then, simultaneously, forward to my deskphone (Yealink W52P) which is set to ring for 25 seconds. It successfully rings both devices at the same time but I often get missed calls. I'm not sure if I need to increase the 25 second ring on the deskphone or not. It seems like a long time. Are callers really waiting 25 seconds before hanging up or going to my voicemail?

Where are you seeing the "missed" calls at?  Yealink, iPhone or call logs?

Think of it this way; you have your number ringing your iPhone APP first, then it rings your Yealink.  Technically it's now ringing two phones.  If you answer it on your iPhone, it stops ringing your Yealink and it is now a missed call to your Yealink, although an answered call on your APP.  Make sense?

There are many things that could cause this Ethan, the most common cause would be troubles with your local network connection or ISP. Are you around others that are using RingCentral phones and are experiencing anything similar?

this is where making either ring the deskphone first or the smart phone first would be beneficial. if hes at his desk he could have it ring the deskphone first, if hes up and around his office switch to his mobile/app and then go to voicemail. both phone having to ring at the same time is cumbersome and if someone tries to even intercom him im sure both phones would ring as well.

Hello Ethan,

Are you still receiving a lot of missed calls or were you able to resolve the issue?

I was getting the missed calls when my company greeting was turned off and incoming calls would ring my deskphone and the iphone app simultaneously without an outgoing message. I've since turned the company greeting back on and don't get the missed calls. After by busy season is slows down in the fall I will try turning the company greeting off again and see what happens.

That makes total sense and I already understand that concept. Took me a while see it that way, but I get it. However, the issue to which I'm referring is missed calls on both devices at the same time. It seems to me like RC is using up most of the 25 seconds just opening a connection to me and, by the time the phone's start ringing and I reach for one of the two phones, I've run out of time to answer and the call drops. I don't know, maybe I'm missing some other piece to the whole process. Thanks for your thoughts and patience.
