Caller ID

Do we have a feature/s that when the caller dial from Cisco and or Polycom devices regardless of the area code that they are calling the system will use that area code as outbound caller ID? Example. If I call out someone to an area code 260 the system will automatically replace my existing outbound caller ID assigned to my phone and use that  area code 260 as my current outbound caller ID while speaking to that person after the transaction it will go back to the default outbound caller id. Same goes to any area code I am calling within the US.

i'm pretty sure the outbound caller ID is set just by each user and set once and only changed when changed by that user or admin. it would be great if it were smart enough to know to do that, but i don't know if that's possible

Thank you for the reply. That is what I a thinking. No software on the phone to mimic that kind of functionality. hope in the future, it will be done.
