Does RC Work Well for ANYONE on Mobile Phones?

We are a disconnected mobile workforce that intended to use RC 99% with cell phones (NO wifi since we are on the road).  We've had RC for many years now we've basically never used it because the performance is so bad.  As ridiculous as it sounds we've continued to pay for it even though we weren't using it, and just used our regular cell phones instead.  One of those things you just tolerate rather then dealing with the pain of switching companies.

If I attempt to make a call out using RC I can be pretty damn confident the call will drop (again I am talking about using it with a cell phone not wifi).  So it's basically worthless.  My free Google Voice number in comparison blows RC away - works flawlessly and never a drops a call.

The recent price change announcement and the way it was handled was the push I finally needed to put an end to this disaster and start looking for reliable VOIP options.  Before I do, I wondered if there is anyone else out there using RC with a mobile work force that actually gets reliable performance out of it.

I will also say in advance that I've never bothered to deal with tech support because every time I've ever tried, with the exception of one positive experience, it's been so painful it's just not worth it.

My company is in the same situation. RingCentral is completely worthless. It's just hard to find a service that has the same features. However, it is a fact that every free VoIP service/app I have used works way better for making calls. I just don't understand why RC service is so terrible when the freebies can get it right.

Yes, I also made the mistake of choosing it because of all the features.  But when you can't make or receive a phone call without it dropping or distorting, all the features in the world don't mean a thing,  And since we're talking about using it with cell phones on a cell network, it can't be blamed on wifi routers etc.  And I know from using other services such as Google voice that work perfectly with cell networks that it should not be a limiting factor.

If we can't solve this, and I don't think we will, my next VOIP provider will be thoroughly tested for call quality and reliability before all else, with features coming second.

Yeah, I use the app almost everyday and its just as reliable as a normal cell phone call. Does a call drop now and again yes, just like my cell phone. I don't know how the google voice technology works, is it different? is it an app? does it not have the same requirements to make a call? are all your RingCentral apps up to date? did you implement RingCentral yourself or did someone sell it to you because maybe they have access to better support at RingCentral. No company can be 100% failure free, I have customers who have issues with it and others who love it. I've had people at tech support who help me in 5 minutes and some who aren't as quick, but at least you get to actually speak to someone, rather than going through 5 separate automated menus that might not even get you to anyone.
I understand your frustrations but going on a companies board to openly put them down, seems rude quite frankly. I don't think comcast or att or any other provider have a board open to its customers, cause i'm sure there'd be complaints about them there as well. i know if my local tv company had a board they would be packed with complaints and issues and all that type of thing, but they don't and probably for that very reason, so let's try and use this place for what its meant for and get people's issues resolved and try to make the product better rather what this post turned into.
