Are there keyboard controls for RingCentral Meetings?

Are there keyboard controls for RingCentral Meetings? I have a blind student who would like to try coming on that way instead of just calling in. Thanks!

Hello Reverend Deb Phelps,

Are you referring to if there are keyboard shortcuts on RC Meetings? Or are you referring to the capability of keyboard controls during a screen share?

On RC Meetings. As I said my student is blind. They use keyboard commands for mouse gestures.

Such a smart question! I have no idea why I didn't think of that first.  My current version is 5.4.2.6722 and, as you can see by the screenshot, it's not even on the list. Never had that happen before. I suppose I'll try an update and see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you. I thought I replied to the email and then realized now it went to a no-reply address. I just tested a meeting with our blind student. She could not access the "Join audio by computer" as it would not let her "click" on it so we were on the phone. The video was fine I could see her. She couldn't access the buttons that I see on the bottom (mute, etc.) as they must not be true text and instead text built-in to the image.  She's going to email me what she does need and we both would appreciate if she could use the computer instead of her phone for meetings.  She has used Skype she said in the past with no issues whatsoever.

No worries at all! So, she can actually change her settings in RC Meetings so that every time she joins a meeting it is via computer audio and she is muted. That way she doesn't have to worry about "clicking" that particular option or calling in with the phone.



Here is the list of RingCentral Meetings Hotkeys. This list will continue to grow during future releases as well  :)

She tried to access this to do so as we were online together but for some reason her screenreader software was not reading it. The program really needs to be more accessible for the blind. Thank you.
