New message alert when I hang up on my desk phone?

I have a Polycom 410 which, very recently, started to flash the 'new message' indicator when I hang up a call. I've had the 410 for quite some time, and I haven't made any adjustments to the settings recently.

As far as I know, this happens when I am using my headset, which is a Plantronics C530 and the call that I was hanging up was outbound.

I can't think of any reason why this might happen. Any ideas?

Does anyone get any recorded messages that state something like - Dial 7 to remove yourself from a listing. It doesn't even seem to ring a full ring when it happens. We received 2 calls today.

Wright,

Are you saying you are receiving a spam type call from some entity which tells you to "Dial 7 to remove yourself..." -or- do you think this is somehow coming from something you are doing with RingCentral?

If it's a spam/scam type call, the best thing you can do is simply block it in "Blocked Calls" in the Admin Portal or in the softphone.

Additionally, is this related to the original poster's case of New message alert when I hang up on my desk phone?
