How Do I Schedule a RingCentral Meeting on Behalf of Someone?

Great news! Now you can schedule meetings on someones behalf.

1)      Log into RingCentral Online

2)      Under User Details you will see Schedule Meetings for Me located below the Regional Settings option

3)      You will then choose the individual(s) that can schedule meetings on your behalf and select Save

4)      Then Save your changes on the main screen for User Details

Now when the User(s) youve chosen log into their RingCentral Meetings application they can schedule for you by clicking on the drop down menu and selecting your name.

Note: If User SS schedules a meeting on behalf of User DB - essentially both users act as a host. For instance, if SS is in the meeting they are the host at that time. However, if DB joins the meeting they can either remain as a participant or Reclaim Host privileges.

Below is a screen shot of that option:

This information does not help because this does not work. When you go into schedule for someone else (who you have permission to schedule for), the name is not there, or you click on the name but the wrong name gets scheduled instead of the name you clicked on. Some names don't even show up as real names. They show up as random numbers. We will have to use Zoom now instead of Ringcentral, because this problem is causing so much trouble.

This link points to a locked conversation. I need an answer on this as well. When will this functionality extend to the Outlook plugin? We are switching from Zoom to RC Meetings and we're losing a lot of functionality here. Our admins cannot easily schedule on behalf of the staff they support because it seems the Outlook plugin does not support this, and if they schedule directly via the RC Meetings app, they can select the person they are scheduling on behalf of however the meeting can only be set to the default Outlook calendar. With Zoom's Outlook plugin, the admins can select the time slot directly on the other's users calendar in Outlook and the plugin knows to apply that person's meeting information. As it is now, the admins must select "Other Calendar" and create invites by manually copy/pasting the meeting info into a new invite on the person's calendar. This is cumbersome and incredibly inefficient. Please tell me a remediation is in the works for a pending release because this is going to cause some pain across my organization if it's not corrected soon.

Apologies, Matt. The conversation is public now, not sure why it was set as private. Feel free to provide more information - that's what I was waiting for from Jerika.
