Menu options for calls coming to a specific line

I have a satellite office with Regus and I was given an out of area phone number.  Regus can forward any incoming calls to a number I give them.  If I forward that number to my main company number, callers will get the main greeting.
So instead, I would like to forward the satellite number to one of the Ring Central given numbers which I do not use, and answer all calls with a secondary greeting such as "Thank you for calling our San Diego office...." and then give the caller the same options to direct the calls as needed (for John press 1, etc.).

How do I set that up?  Are there any other solutions?

Thank you.

Hello BigE,

Your callers are dialing a phone number that exists on another provider that is not RingCentral and you are having all calls forwarded to one of your RingCentral phone numbers, is that correct?

If so, the best way to do what you have outlined is to create a second IVR menu and attach the phone number you are forwarding the calls to directly to that menu.

To so this log into your account, select Auto-receptionist on the left-hand side of the screen, select IVR Menus at the top of the page, then select the +New IVR Menu button at the top right of the screen give the IVR any extension number you want and any name you want. Once the new IVR menu is created you can create a custom greeting saying, "Thank you for calling our San Diego office...." and then give them the options to reach whoever you would like. To create a new custom greeting go back to the Auto-Receptionist tab, select the Prompts Library and then you can record or import a recording.

Once you have the IVR menu's recording prompts and key presses for the Users extensions set you can direct the number you are having the calls forwarded to the IVR so that all call hit the new IVR directly.

Hope this helps,

Nate,
I have the IVR and the press options created, but how do I set up the IVR with the phone number.  The calls comes in in SD and is forwarded to my phone number in LA.  What do I do for the new IVR to pick up all incoming calls?
Thank you.

Hello BigE,

You need to move the number to the IVR menu. If you select the Phone Numbers tab, find the number, and then select it you should have an option to assign the number to an extension, from here select the IVR extension that you created.

This will only work if the phone number is not assigned to a phone. If the phone number is the direct digital line on a phone then you will have to replace the phone number on the phone with another one to move it.

If that is the case, the best thing to do would probably give our support line a call and open a ticket with a tech, it should not take more than a few minutes to get done.

Sorry for the delay...did you still need help with this? Or did you get it setup/resolved?

Nathan,

The line I was trying to assign to the IVR IS a the direct digital line assigned to a phone number so that will not work.  Thank you much for your help.  I will contact support.
