In my opinion, you save a lot of headaches and frustration when ordering the phones directly from RC vs. assuming the responsibility of BYOD.

If you are using Polycom phones purchased via RingCentral are provisioned already for use on their network with their firmware and are fully supported by RingCentral support. 3rd party phones are not supported and you will have to flash each phone with a current version of RingCentral firmware for them to work properly on your network. As for other brands, others with experience with them will have to comment.

We have 3 Cisco 504g's and several 303a's for desk phones and also a polycom 5000 conference phone. I purchased some of the 303's through Cisco and the rest from Amazon. All perform the same.... perfectly. Have been with RC since August 2015.
