Best info for Provisioning Polycom 411s

Just wondering who has the best info on how to easy program Polycom VVX411s? I'm going to start provisioning on my own and selling the phone for extra money and would like some pointers and good info. Who's gonna help me?

What kind of programming are you planning to accomplish? Once you register the device to RingCentral it will overwrite all those settings you change. Unless you just set it up as a "Generic BYOD" instead of specifying in RingCentral the phone you're trying to add is a Polycom.

You can do that quite easily. You just buy the phone from wherever. You can go to Phones & Devices in your customer's profile, then Add Device. Choose Polycom and the model, give it the MAC address. It will tell you how to program the phone to pick up the provisioning settings. Generally it involves going to the phone's web interface and updating the Provisioning Server URL.

You wouldn't be able to buy a phone off the shelf that is already provisioned for RingCentral. You'd at the very least have to go through the steps mentioned here, unless the phone was bought from them (it comes pre-provisioned)

if you're looking for a phone that you can "provision at will" to different providers, you would do the same steps except choose "Other Phone" instead of a Polycom. It'll give you the username, password and server settings to input into the phone.

This way, it won't "take over" the settings and change the phone's admin password and all that, so you can easily go back into the web gui and change the server settings to a different provider.

Easiest way is to just buy the phones from Ring Central. They will come already provisioned for their systems, and all you have to do is assign it to a user in the Ring Central admin web interface.
