How do I Block a Number from Calling/Texting Me?


Blocking a number through the web portal, desktop app, or the mobile app is easy! Follow these steps and check out the articles linked as well for more details

Blocking a number from texting/calling via the web portal:

1)      Log into your account online

2)      Within your extension click on the Screening,Greeting & Hold Music section

3)      Select Blocked Calls

4)      Select the Block specific calls and faxes Option


5)      Type in the number(s) or area code(s) that you wish to block


6)      Save your changes


Blocking a number from texting/calling via the desktop app:

1)      Log into your desktop app

2)      Click on the Settings icon

3)      Go to the Calls section

4)      Under the Incoming section press the + button and type in the number you wish to block

Feature request - make it easier to block the number without having to retype it.  View call on screen, click info, click block future calls.

Thanks, Jan! I'm going to update this thread to include your answer and also how to block calls in Glip :)

How to Block a Number from the Call Log:

An Admin or a User can also block a phone number from the Call Log!

Blocking a Number as an Admin:

 Go to the Call Log Tab

Check the box next to the phone number you wish to block

Select the Block button, verify that the number you chose is correct, and then you're all set!





Blocking a Number as a User

 From the Overview Tab you will simply check the box next to the number and then select the Block button below



You can also block a number that has left you a message from the Messages Tab
